Abstract
This dataset includes:
A. Fuzzy cognitive maps from the Mistawasis Flood Management Workshop
- Quantitative and qualitative analysis of fuzzy cognitive maps
- Audio recordings of of workshop
- Photos of fuzzy cognitive maps.
B. Qualitative interviews about the function of storytelling in Source Water Protection Planning. Audio recording and transcription of interviews with 14 stakeholders involved in source water protection planning.
C. Experimental decision lab (with 80 people)
- Pre- and post-workshop surveys
- Audio recordings of focus groups
- Paper sheets of teams decision for three scenarios
- Expressed preferences for different kinds of evidence
Purpose
The governance theme of the GWF project "Prairie Water" assesses the current state of prairie governance and its representativeness of public and stakeholder water needs. It also assesses components of water sharing relationships and those components that influence cooperation among communities to co-produce solutions to water issues. This work is done through three major projects: (A) Flood Risk Planning in Mistawasis Nêhiyawak, (B) Source Water Planning and Sharing Water Stories in the North Saskatchewan River Basin, and (C) Exploring Decision-Making in Water Management using Experimental Decision Laboratories.
