Thesis Topic: Radial growth patterns of jack pine in relation to climate, moisture availability, and dwarf mistletoe infection in the Boreal Plains Ecozone of Saskatchewan, Canada

I am investigating the potential impacts of a drying climate in the Saskatchewan boreal forest on dwarf mistletoe infested jack pine. My goal is to determine whether infected jack pine may be more susceptible to growth reductions under drought stress than uninfected jack pine. I aim to understand the potential impacts of this biotic disturbance under projected future climate, and inform future management practices in Saskatchewan forests.
