This workshop reviewed progress and plans for our large and fine scale modelling over the Saskatchewan and Mackenzie River Basins, and showed clear and significant advancements over the last six months in terms of our model development.  A set of final plans were developed to take us to the end of the network in March 2018, and a series of output products including papers and outreach materials were planned.

In addition a public book launch event was held at the Geoscience Musuem in Canmore, featuring the recently published book by Robert Sandford, Our Vanishing Glaciers: The Snows of Yesteryear and the Future Climate of the Mountain West.  This included brief presentations by Howard Wheater on CCRN and John Pomeroy on the Global Water Futures Programme, in addition to other speakers, and an explanation by Robert about his motivation for writing this book and the science behind it.  More information is provided in a story by the Rocky Mountain Outlook here.
